Student Guidelines

Academics

Students must attend all theory, tutorial, and practical lectures.
Students are expected to pay full attention during lectures and practical classes, participate in discussions, and complete given tasks in the classroom/practical.
They must submit all assignments, tutorials, practical/practical manuals, and projects/micro-projects on time.
Students must check the notice board regularly.
Students are required to maintain more than 75% attendance.
They must report all difficulties to respective faculty members or class counselors/HOD.
Students must participate in skill development certification courses each semester.
Students are suggested to discuss academic difficulties with their Class Counselors/Mentors periodically.

Student Guidelines

Discipline

Discipline is typically integral to the success of a college student. Although moving on from the confines of high school academics to the college atmosphere may seem intimidating, building good self-discipline has always been the Institute's priority.

The academic hours of the college are from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, except on every month's 1st and 3rd Saturday. All are expected to follow this timing and plan accordingly.
Students who come late are to proceed to the Library/reading room if they fail to report to their respective classes on time. A grace time of 5 minutes may be granted by the faculty taking the class.
We promote 100% attendance of students through various incentive schemes.
Students are expected to respect the dress code and come to college wearing the prescribed uniform.
Students are expected to maintain the legacy of FOP, Akole even outside the campus, especially when wearing the college uniform.
Students are expected to give due respect to their professors and college authorities to ensure a friendly and progressive campus.
Students are invited to orient themselves towards a highly professional life and behavior.
Any form of ragging is prohibited by law and should be reported at the earliest to the Class Counselor/Anti-Ragging Committee for immediate action.
All students and their parents must submit anti-ragging affidavits every year, as required by law.
No student must indulge in anti-social practices.
Mobile phones are not allowed in the classroom and must be kept switched off. Violation may lead to confiscation of the equipment. Mobiles may be used outside the building, only during off hours.
Students are directed to keep their classrooms, curtains, bench-desks, and the premises neat and clean.
FOP, Akole campus is a non-smoking, tobacco-free area.
It is the duty of students to take care of their belongings and valuables (mobiles, money, calculators, bags, books, notebooks, etc.). The college is not responsible for any loss or theft of the same.
Girl students may report to the Women's Grievance Redressal Cell for any kind of harassment or misbehavior.
Students who come to college by motorbike/scooter must wear helmets as per law and carry a valid driving license and proper vehicle documents. Vehicles without proper documentation will be denied parking inside the campus.

Beyond Academics

Holistic Development

This activity aims at the overall development of a student by inculcating the FOP, Akole values, mission, and vision of the Institute. Various events, workshops, and seminars are organized under Holistic Development for students.

Major Highlights

Organize and attend guest lectures by experts from industry and educational institutes.
Participate in industrial visits.
Attend skilling workshops within and outside the Institute.
Actively participate in project competitions and technical paper presentation competitions within and outside the Institute.
Demonstrate skills in cultural events by participating proactively.
Students are encouraged to participate in Board and National Level Sports.
Students get a platform to interact with alumni during the Annual Alumni Meet ("Reflection") or during their college visits.
To inculcate social welfare in students, a program named NSS (National Service Scheme) — a government-sponsored public service program — aims at developing students' personality through community service.

Campus Living

Hostel Rules & Regulations

Room and roommate, once allotted, will not be changed under any circumstances.
Every hosteller must keep their room neat and clean.
Every hosteller must register their PC/laptop with the respective Hostel Warden.
Every hosteller must wear proper dress while moving in the hostel or college premises.
No hosteller is allowed to bring any kind of eatables into the college and hostel premises.
Preparation of tea, coffee, etc. is not allowed in hostel rooms.
No hosteller is allowed to consume drugs or liquor in the hostel premises. If found, the hosteller will be permanently rusticated from the hostel immediately.
Smoking in the Hostel/College premises is strictly prohibited.
Explosives and crackers are strictly banned in College/Hostel premises.
Hanging or sticking posters on walls, doors, and windows is not allowed.
No hosteller is allowed to bring sticks, steel rods, chains, knives, or any weapons into the hostel. If found, the hosteller will be permanently rusticated immediately.
Every hosteller should keep the bathroom and toilet walls clean.
No hosteller will leave the hostel without permission of the hostel authority when going out of station.
Every hosteller must make proper and economical use of lights, fans, and water, and switch off electric devices and taps when going outside.
Use of heaters, irons, and CD/DVD players in rooms is not allowed. If found, the equipment may be forfeited.
Every hosteller should make proper use of the furniture provided. Furniture once given will not be changed.
No hosteller should compel a junior fellow hosteller to do personal work.
No hosteller can call a fresher to their room without the warden's permission — doing so will be treated as ragging and result in immediate rustication from the hostel.
Any form of ragging inside or outside the college/hostel premises is not allowed. Guilty parties will face immediate disciplinary action.
No hosteller can entertain outside friends in their room.
Every hosteller should report to the hostel before 10:00 PM (boys) and 7:00 PM (girls). Nobody is allowed to go outside between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
The decision of the Chief Warden/Warden will be final in case of any dispute or problem.
No hosteller is allowed to keep a motorcycle/scooter for personal use.
The hostel authority is not responsible for any kind of theft.
No hosteller or outsider will be permitted to enter the hostel premises between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM without the prior permission of the hostel warden.
