Akole Taluka Education Society, Akole, Dist. Ahmednagar, Maharashtra state, is among the pioneer education trusts established by Late Mr. Dadasaheb Rupwate and Honourable Mr. Madhukarrao Pichad (Ex-Minister of State, Tribal Development, Maharashtra State) along with hundreds of social workers in 1972.
During 1971โ1972, Maharashtra was undergoing a very dreadful famine, and millions of workers were working on the Employment Guarantee Scheme for their daily bread all over the state. Doorstep facilities of education are a very noble cause of social engineering, justice, and equality. Leaders of all political parties in the region assembled here and bound together to achieve optimal progress in education, especially in the rural area of Ahmednagar district, Akole.
An objective of ATES is to provide quality education in the field of Science, Art, Commerce, Engineering, Computer Application, and Business, along with primary education from kindergarten onwards.
